"Help Us Finish the U Koníčka Yard": this is the name of the 2nd project stage, intended to reshape the local Vodňany library yard, which we decided to support financially. This will create a new interesting space in the Gelastus Vodňanský Library that will certainly enrich (not only) the culture in our city.

As like last year, we took part in the Římov Run for Smile charity event in 2022. We not only participated financially, but again also by taking part in the run. The raised amount (over CZK 400,000) was donated to the Kačena family, Křiváček family and Arpida Centre. We were happy to be a part of this benefit project once again.

In order to make the separation operations in the company more efficient, we installed new separation systems in both production halls and commissioned automated conveyors. The "Automation of Separation Operations in GD Druckguss s.r.o." project was conducted under the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness.

Our company not only again supported the Římov Run for Smile charity event with a donation, but also active participation.
The 6th annual event was not only a record-breaking year in terms of registered runners, but also in the terms of the amount raised. The financial amount was split between the family of nine-year-old Anežka from Zliv and the non-profit organisation Modrá pomněnka.

The die casting operations have thus far solely been performed on conventional machinery supplied by German FRECH. We started to use the state-of-the-art multislide technology in July. We purchased the first fully electric multislide from T-SOK.

It was a great pleasure for us to welcome a valued guest, Bára Sedláčková, accompanied by her mum. We met this highly talented artist, confined to a wheelchair by disease, back in 2019 on the occasion of the 5th annual Římov Run for Smile. Bára masters the visual style called Pusopis, or mouth-writing. Her legs and arms were unfortunately paralysed by disease twelve years ago, and as Bára never gives up and wishes to express herself in an artistic way, she has mastered this style in a highly respectable direction. We keep track of her work, supporting it with enthusiasm.
After the meeting with Bára and her mum, where we had a chance to hear her story full of unceasing determination, we decided on providing regular financial support that should help Bára and her family make their day-to-day life easier.

Under the "Laboratory Furnishing to Improve Quality and Competitiveness of GD Produktion s.r.o." project, we purchased a new spectrometer and X-ray analyser from Hitachi.

We started a research project under the TREND Programme, the purpose of which is the research and development of forming dies made of H11 steel and BÖHLER M789 for zinc alloy casting with the use of the state-of-the-art additive production, heat treatment, surface treatment and numerical simulation technology. The purpose of the project is the use of more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly variants of cobalt-free steel. The FW03010323 project is performed with the financial support of TA ČR (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic).

We have finished construction of the 137 kWp photovoltaic power plant. This project will help reduce our energy dependency and is also the first step in our effort to reduce CO2 production. This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Our group has adopted the values of long-term sustainability and environmental responsibility.

We are no strangers to the activities in our city, and are therefore very happy to support the project to reconstruct the children's department of the local library in Vodňany with a donation. The department for little readers has been newly equipped with hanging chairs and sensorimotor mats. We wish the children visiting the library to experience a number of magic moments when "wandering" within the adventurous books.

In June, we successfully completed the first stage of the project to reduce energy consumption activities under the OPPIK programme and acquired a new 80t FRECH machine with RC casting process. Not only to bring a smile to children's faces, we participated in the 5th annual Římov Run for Smile charity project.We not only participated financially, but also actively as a team of our colleagues took part in the race. The proceeds from this year's event were namely donated to Bára Sedláčková, Karolínka from Borotín and Martínek from Střížov. Many thanks to the enthusiastic promoters of this project.

We have initiated cooperation with the Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice and are participating in a research project under the EPSILON programme sponsored by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic. The TH04020055 project is performed with the financial support of TA ČR (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic).The aim of the project is the research and development of zinc waste recycling technology within the production of high-quality zinc alloy castings.

In 2017, we successfully commissioned the new Production Online (VYRON) production system, which helps us monitor key production process parameters, efficiently manage individual job orders and better optimise the production process and material flow, thereby shortening the order processing times and significantly reducing low-quality production.

In 2015, we successfully conducted an Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations project and acquired two cutting-edge FRECH machines with the RC casting process. This technology significantly optimises the casting process, its speed and resulting quality of castings.
